More than $910,000 was raised on Saturday night as supporters gathered at The Star Brisbane for ‘A House full of Hope’ Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland Gala Ball presented by Cornetts Supermarkets.
The incredible result reflected the generosity of guests, sponsors and partners who continue to stand behind families with ill or injured children.
While there was plenty of glamour, entertainment, and celebration throughout the evening, the reason behind the event remained front of mind.
Guests heard the story of the Jones family, which provided a powerful reminder of the realities faced by families when a child becomes ill. Their experience touched everyone in the room and reinforced why events like this matter are important. Every conversation, every donation and every show of support contribute to ensuring families can stay together during some of the most challenging times of their lives.

The generosity on display throughout the evening was nothing short of extraordinary.
Guests supported a range of fundraising initiatives including the live auction, silent auction, raffles, Pick up the Tab and the ever-popular Pledge a Night. With every bid, pledge and donation, momentum continued to grow, culminating in an incredible fundraising result of more than $910,000.
The achievement reflects the remarkable commitment of our supporters, who continue to show up for families when they need it most.
We were delighted to welcome acclaimed television personalities Sofie Formica and Alastair McLeod as our emcees, who guided guests through an evening filled with heartfelt moments, laughter and generosity.
The celebrations continued with a spectacular performance by Australian music powerhouse Paulini, who had guests on their feet and dancing well into the night.
