Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland Golf Day raises over $90,000

A day of friendly competition, generous giving and community spirit saw our inaugural Golf Day raise over $90,000 to help families stay at the heart of their child’s care.
Golf Day 2026

The course was buzzing with excitement as supporters gathered for the inaugural Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland Golf Day at Nudgee Golf Club. Bringing together corporate partners, community supporters and generous donors, the corporate fundraising event exceeded expectations, raising more than $90,000 to help keep families together when their child is ill or injured.

With around 80 participants taking part in an 18-hole ambrose competition, the day was filled with friendly rivalry, plenty of laughs and a shared commitment to making a difference for families who rely on our services.

Charity golf day filled with competition and connection

Teams teed off ready to showcase their skills, although some swings may have been more memorable than others. From impressive drives to unexpected detours into the water, the day delivered plenty of entertainment and even more camaraderie.

Throughout the course, players enjoyed a range of activations including longest drive and nearest to pin competitions, adding an extra layer of fun and competition. More importantly, every round played and every dollar raised helped support Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland’s mission of providing essential accommodation and support programs for families with ill or injured children.

The day was a wonderful example of what can happen when businesses come together with a shared purpose: helping families stay close during some of life’s most challenging moments.

Corporate support driving impact for families

Following a morning on the green, participants returned to the clubhouse for a celebratory lunch where the fundraising continued.

Guests took part in an old-school silent auction, purchased tickets in the ‘ultimate Aussie meat raffle’ and generously supported our Pick Up The Tab initiative. In one of the day’s most heartwarming moments, two generous supporters stepped forward to cover an entire year of pantry packs for families staying at Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland.

For families navigating a child’s hospital journey, the little things can make a world of difference. Having access to a well-stocked pantry means parents can grab everyday essentials without the added stress of shopping, planning meals or stretching already strained budgets.
