Yesterday, Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland proudly marked an exciting new chapter with the launch of our refreshed global brand identity and the national rollout of the Family Stays campaign. Hosted as an intimate and welcoming brand launch event, the morning brought together the people who are central to our mission – families, Board Members, partners, supporters, volunteers, employees and media – creating a powerful moment of connection, reflection and celebration.
This special event marked more than just visual refresh; it marked a renewed commitment to supporting ill or injured children and their families across South East Queensland.
Guests enjoyed a coffee cart, gelato cart and beautifully prepared catering, alongside face painting and children’s activities that added to the fun and inclusive atmosphere throughout the morning.
One of the most touching moments of the morning came from hearing an update from the Mudge family, who shared their journey with honesty and warmth. Their story was a powerful reminder of the importance of our work and the real impact it has on families who need it most.
The event provided a lovely opportunity for meaningful conversations, shared moments and connection among the people who make our work possible.

For more than 30 years, we have been there for families during some of the most challenging times of their lives. Building on this strong legacy, our modernised brand better reflects our mission and the many ways we support families today.
While our purpose remains unchanged – putting families at the heart of care – our refreshed brand ensures the way we present ourselves truly represents the compassion, trust and impact experienced within our spaces every day.
As part of this evolution, we introduced a slight name change and a new, refreshed look designed to better communicate everything we do. This modernised brand will help us clearly and confidently share our story with families, supporters and partners across South East Queensland.
The event also marked the national launch of our ‘Family Stays’ campaign – a powerful message at the heart of Ronald McDonald House. When a child is in hospital, family is not a visitor; they stick around for the long haul. We ensure it stays that way.
The campaign shines a light on the critical role family connection plays in a child’s wellbeing and recovery, and the essential support we provide to make that possible. Whether it’s a place to stay, a warm meal or sense of normalcy during an uncertain time, Family Stays reflects why our work matters so deeply.

As we step forward with our refreshed identity, we remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting families through every step of their journey – because when a child is in hospital, family stays. And we stay with them.
