Heart of our Home

You hold the key to the Heart of our Home.

We provide essential accommodation to more than 3,500 families with ill or injured children each year and we rely on the generous support of our community to keep our doors open all year round.

We currently have 148 accommodation rooms across our Herston and South Brisbane Houses. You can help us support more families by sponsoring one of these rooms through the Heart of our Home Program.

By participating in the Heart of our Home Program, you’ll have your name on a door but you’ll be doing so much more.

Sponsorship through the program provides families with:

  • Accommodation close to specialist treatment and medical care
  • Access to laundry services, kitchens, televisions, computers and games
  • Access to indoor and outdoor play areas, lounge spaces, regular activities and so much more
  • 24-hour restricted access to our Houses ensuring families are safe and secure at all times
  • A sense of community with other families who are going through similar experiences

What you will recieve

Personalised recognition
Your name featured on dedicated signage located on the door of your room for the full year of your support.

Engagement opportunities
The opportunity to participate in our engagement programs, including Meals from the Heart and Bake Off events

Attendance at events
The opportunity to attend selected events hosted by Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland

Impact report
Provided with annual statistics of the families staying at Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland, so you can see how you are making a difference.

On average, it costs $160 a night to cover the necessary costs associated with maintaining a room, including linen, electricity, cleaning and general maintenance.

The annual cost of supporting a room through the program is $5,000 + GST.
