Thanks to our wonderful national corporate partner, Hyundai Help for Kids, families staying across our Houses were treated to a truly special night in the Hyundai iView Suite at the Gabba. This exclusive experience gave families a chance to take a break from hospital routines, soak up the excitement, and spend some much-needed time with their loved ones.
For the past 11 years, the Hyundai iView Suite has delivered once in a lifetime experiences for our families, offering a rare opportunity to simply be together outside the hospital setting. The team always goes above and beyond for our families with full catering, merchandise gifts and money-can’t-buy experiences.
More than just a corporate box, the iView Suite is a space where stress melts away – even if just for a few hours – and lasting memories are created.
The night was filled with exciting and deeply meaningful moments. For ill or injured children and their families, opportunities like these bring joy and serve as powerful reminders that they are seen, supported, and celebrated by their community.
Guests in the iView Suite proudly took part in the Guard of Honour, cheering as the Brisbane Lions ran onto the field. Every goal kicked by the Lions also made an impact off the field, with $500 donated to Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland.
Several children enjoyed unforgettable moments throughout the night. One took part in the official coin toss, two ran out with the players as junior mascots, and another thrilled the crowd during a quarter-time goal kicking activation.
The surprises continued when Lions stars Harris Andrews and Eric Hipwood made a special visit to the iView Suite, taking the time to chat, pose for photos and connect with the families. Their visit brought excitement and a personal touch that left a lasting impression.
For these families, the night offered a genuine break from the demands of medical treatment and hospital life. Parents shared their heartfelt gratitude, reflecting on how special it was to see their children smiling, laughing, and enjoying time together as a family.
In total, the evening raised $10,000, which equals over 62 nights of accommodation for families in need.
